Launch of You go 4 It

www.yougo4it.co.uk will launch at Mile End Stadium in Tower Hamlets on Wednesday 24 January 2007.

There will be five students representing Caerphilly County Borough Council who will participate in the You Go 4 It Games. The five representatives will make up team Caerphilly.

The You Go 4 It Games will include a series from events such as Long Jump, Shot Put and Hurdles.

We will be competing with other Local Authorities from England. The winning team will get to push the plunger that will launch the website.

Britain’s top sprint hurdler, Andy Turner who has had a very successful year winning bronze medals at both the Commonwealth Games and European Championships in the 110 metre hurdles will manage the You Go 4 It Games on the day and will be presenting the medals.

Lucy Boggis, a 17-year-old heptathlete (7 events) who is aiming for the 2012 Olympics will also be participating in the You Go 4 It Games.

www.yougo4it.co.uk will hold lots of information for students, teachers and parents. It will be a website full of blogs, pods and lifestyle tips for today’s teenagers with competitions to win fantastic prizes including vouchers to spend on the High Street. An interview with Andy Turner has been recorded.  We also have some celebrity sporting recipes on the website from Colin Jackson, Sally Gunnell, Matthew Pinsent and Jonathan Edwards.
