Peter Waterfield
Pete will be going for Gold at the Commonwealth Games
In 2002, Pete became the senior European champion, achieved a ranking of fourth in the world and scooped gold at the Commonwealth Games. Two years later he and Leon Taylor came second at the World Cup and they both qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. There they achieved the silver in the 10 metre synchronised diving event and Pete came fifth in the individual event.
At the British Gas National Cup in Sheffield in February, 2010 Pete and his diving partner, Chris Mears, came first in the men’s three metre synchronised dive. Pete also won the men’s 10 metre synchronised dive with Max Brick and scooped the gold medal in the men’s 10 metre individual dive.

On 9 August 2008 he qualified in 5th place for the Olympic final of the men's pommel horse, and on 17 August went on to win the Bronze Medal in that final, becoming the first Briton to win a medal in the individual gymnastics at the Olympic Games since Walter Tysall won a silver medal in 1908. He was also the first Briton to win a medal in gymnastics at the Olympic Games since the women's team won a bronze medal in 1928.
