My first trip to London
I was woken up by my alarm at around 6 am, I waited 5 minutes then my auntie came in. I went in the shower to wake up a bit, as it was still very early. I put my make up on, and then got ready. After that I straightened my hair. Then we were off.
We left Cheltenham, to go to Oxford, to catch to the bus. I didn’t know where we were going, it was a surprise. I couldn’t wait. I was nearly falling asleep in the car; I should have as I had a big day ahead of me. Soon we were in Oxford; it was a small walk to the bus station. When we got there my auntie gave the tickets and we got onto the double decker bus. We sat upstairs in front of the big window. We had to wait for a while; then eventually we set off for the journey. It was very tiring on the bus, I wanted to get some sleep but couldn’t as I was full of excitement for the day. I still didn’t know where we were going, until I seen the Underground sign, then I realised, we were going to London!
It was extremely busy on the roads. I was very anxious to get off. I had never been to London before. Everyone seemed to be rushing around .Finally it was our stop; we got off the bus and started to make our way to the Underground. There were people everywhere. When we got to the Underground, first we had to buy our tickets and then find out where we had to go. It was very confusing, I didn’t have a clue. Eventually we managed to find where we needed to go. The train was so quick. When it was coming you could feel the wind pushing against you. The first time we got on we didn’t expect it to launch backwards then forwards, so when it did we accidently fell into this man he didn’t really know what to make of it, however we thought it was really funny.
First we went to see Big Ben; luckily we managed to hear it ring at 11:30 am, we also seen the London Eye. We didn’t have much time to look at the landmarks as we had to be back in a certain part of London for another surprise!
We had something to eat, and then we went to where the surprise was. I didn’t have a clue what it was. When we arrived I didn’t see the sign until my auntie pointed it out. Then I seen it, it read; Madam Tussauds! I couldn’t believe it. We ventured inside with our VIP tickets, it was amazing! It was like you was with the actual people.
After that we made our way back to the bus to get home. It took an extremely long time to get back, but when we finally did I went straight to sleep!
