Solutions SK Ltd, Stockport Council's wholly owned company are celebrating National School Meals Week 2009 with a Stockport County competition.
The week runs from Monday 9th to Friday 13th November and the school meals team at Solutions SK have made big plans for the week.
In conjunction with Stockport County the team is running a competition where a winner from a secondary school will have the chance to welcome some of the Stockport County team into their school. In agreement with the school the team will hold a class where they will offer tips on healthy eating and exercise which will finish with a 5 a-side match. The closing date for the competition is 4th November 2009.
Dennis O'Byrne, Head of Schoolscene said, "A healthy lifestyle, combining lots of exercise and sensible eating habits especially in the early years of growing up, will prove very beneficial in enjoying a happy lifestyle. National School Meals week is designed to promote the real benefits of making Healthy lifestyle choices and having fun at the same time.
Stockport children are also being asked to tell us what their favourite school meal is. The favourite meal in Stockport will be cooked and served on the Friday of the week. Tell us what your favourite meal is by 19th October 2009.

The team will be at various locations throughout the borough to celebrate the week and will issue prizes donated by suppliers.
