First of all, I want to say Happy New Year to everyone. I hope it is a good year for you all. I can't believe it is already 2010, Christmas just went so quickly. We had snow for Christmas and the first day it snowed it was so bad I couldn't get to the gym for training as the road I normally take was badly affected.
On the 21st December it was my Dad's birthday. As you probably know I am a big Liverpool FC fan and so is my dad. For his present I took him to see Liverpool play against Fiorentina. Unfortunately Liverpool lost the game.
I celebrated Christmas at home with my family. They live in Corby in Northamptonshire. One of my favourite hobbies is playing on my Playstation so I was given a gaming chair, headset and triggers for the controllers. I also got some new clothes. It was a really nice and relaxing Christmas and lovely to spend some time with my family.
On Boxing Day, we all went to my Uncles for a big family party. It was great to spend time with everyone and see my cousins. It was also a good time to celebrate my World Championship Silver medal as I hadn't seen some of the family since then.
Over the last few weeks I have been trying to build up my fitness again after having the time off for my holiday to Florida. I still managed to have four days off training at Christmas but when I was training, I was working for six hours a day. I then had three days off around New Year to enjoy the celebrations and spend time with friends and family.
One of my best friends has recently moved into a new house and so on New Year's Eve we went there to see in the New Year. It was a great night and chance for me to relax with some friends.
Over Christmas lots of people eat and drink what they want however I do have to be careful so my body is in the best condition for getting back into training. However I do allow myself some treats at this time of year.
My next competition is in March so I am working towards that. It's in America so I am really looking forward to going and hope to do well. In a few days I am going to a squad training camp in Lilleshall. There will also be teams from Japan and Canada training there. This will be a great chance for me to work on some new skills ready for competing again.
Find out how the start of 2010 has been for me.
